Thyme’s up…

… for the eleven year old thyme bed, full of woody and bedraggled plants. Replaced this year with fresh stock in a new raised bed, using some interplanting with dianthus to cheer up the bare spaces until the spreading quickly takes over. The new bed contains Thyme ‘Pink Chintz’, ‘Vey’, orange scented, prostrate, common, broad leaved, creeping red, ‘Iden’, ‘Pink Ripple’, ‘Porlock’, ‘Tabor’, ‘Russetings’, ‘Redstart’, creeping lemon, ‘Dartmoor’, minimus, ‘Faustini’ and ‘Foxley’. There are also other thymes in pots around the garden.
